El informe preliminar de Polic\u00eda Nacional determin\u00f3 que el accidente fue causado por la p\u00e9rdida de pista del bus y posterior ca\u00edda a una pendiente de aproximadamente ocho metros en el sector Agua Blanca, en el cant\u00f3n Puerto L\u00f3pez.
